Primrose has today given birth to 2 kits. Unfortunately, its looks like one of the kits is a peanut, which will sadly die over the next couple of days. We will be leaving the 2 of them together for the time being to try and hold the body heat between them to help the healthy kit.

We are very sad to report that Heather's birth was not successful. Unfortunately, Heather gave birth to a still born kit this evening. She is absolutely fine and is eating and drinking well.
Well we have had a manic morning here. I last night had the great pleasure of watching Caramel & Seraphina give birth to their kits. All was well when I left. I woke up this morning to find 2 nests in Caramels cage containing 4 kits in one nest and 2 in the other. Unfortunately 2 kits in the larger nest were dead. I have now moved the 2 in the smaller nest in with the others in the bigger nest. When checking on Seraphina's kits, I found that we had unfortunately lost 2 and there was 1 in the nest going cold. The poor little mite did not stand a chance on its own, so has been moved into Caramel's nest to be brought up with Caramel's kits. We are keeping everything crossed that it all works out for the best.
All of CJ's kits have now been reserved and have wonderful homes to go to in March. Our next Netherland Dwarf litter is due on Friday 22 February.
